Kelly

Kelly is a beautiful, small frame, red and tan Kelpie, around 18 months old, with the most gentle nature. She’s housetrained and has been an absolute dream in the home—sleeping through the night without a fuss and happy to just relax in her bed when things are quiet (though she’ll happily sneak onto the lounge if given half a chance).

She’s not your typical high-energy Kelpie. Kelly has a calm, almost old-soul kind of personality and really thrives on being around people. She loves a cuddle, a smooch, and being part of whatever’s going on.

She gets along well with other dogs and has been playing nicely with her foster sister - no rough or aggressive behaviour, just easy, social interaction. She does show some herding instinct and can get a bit enthusiastic rounding up another dog during play if there’s a ball involved.

She walks beautifully on lead and has shown little interest in chickens or guinea pigs in our care. She does appear quite interested in wildlife though, so a secure yard is important.

This girl would make a wonderful companion and we think she would adapt very well to an urban life, especially if her owner was interested in training her in agility or similar
