About Gypsy
Introducing Gypsy!
Gypsy is a Staffy x born 27th November 2025.
Gypsy was brought into the facility as an unmicrochipped stray & sadly no-one came looking for her. Even though she wasn't microchipped we knew who her breeder was but they weren't able to tell us who her owner was. We were told she is a Mastiff x Staffy, however we have met 4 puppies from her litter, 2 were larger like Mastiffs but Gypsy and the fourth pup were smaller like Staffies. Given the size of her feet compared to her age (and knowing how large the other two pups are) we believe she will only be a medium sized dog.
Since being at the facility Gypsy has been an absolute delight! She's incredibly affectionate with humans and surprisingly fairly calm given her age. Gypsy definitely identifies as a lap dog and would love to be allowed to cuddle up to her humans on the lounge. While she isn't boisterous, she will try to climb up your legs to get closer to you. We've also found that if she's scared (like when meeting our facility cat) she takes shelter in the arms of her humans. Gypsy is an inquisitive girl who will never say no to food, a belly rub or a cuddle.
Gypsy tested well with both large & small dogs. While she can be a little shy at first, it doesn't take her long to warm up to them. We believe Gypsy could be suitable to live with another dog, or to be the spoint only "child" at home. If you have a friendly dog we will need to do a meet & greet with them to ensure they get along before going home.
Gypsy showed no interest in our facility rooster & seemed scared of our facility cat. We believe Gypsy could be suitable to live with small animals if given a slow & controlled introduction to them.
Gypsy has shown no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression since being at the facility.
She still has so much to learn about the world and life and would love to be in a home where she is included as a member of the family. Gypsy will thrive in an environment that guides her with positive direction and lots of love and attention.

Her adoption fee is $700 & includes her desexing, first vaccination and lifetime registration. She is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Gypsy is currently located in East Maitland.

If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
