About Murphy
Meet Murphy, a gentle little soul looking for a calm and understanding home where he can truly relax and feel safe.
Murphy is a 6-year-old Maltese Shih Tzu who was surrendered alongside his brother, Paddy. The two share a close bond and could be rehomed together, but they may also settle well in separate homes with the right support.
When Murphy arrived, he had a severely matted coat, but with some care and grooming, he’s now feeling much more comfortable. Aside from that, he appears to be in good health.
Murphy has likely lived a very sheltered life indoors and doesn’t seem to have had much exposure to the outside world. Because of this, he can become overwhelmed by new environments and experiences. He’s not yet used to walking on a lead and may panic when faced with unfamiliar situations, so he’ll need a patient adopter willing to help him build confidence धीरे and at his own pace.
Despite his timid nature, Murphy is the more approachable and affectionate of the two brothers. He absolutely adores human companionship and would be happiest in a quiet home where he can spend his days curled up on someone’s lap, soaking up love and attention.
Murphy would do best in:
A calm, quiet household
A patient adopter who understands shy or under-socialised dogs
A home without too much noise or chaos
A family with an older, gentle dog companion — or alongside his brother Paddy
Murphy is a sweet, sensitive boy who just needs time, kindness, and a safe space to come out of his shell. In the right home, he has so much love to give and will make a deeply devoted companion.
If you’re looking for a quiet cuddle buddy and are willing to help Murphy discover the world at his own pace, he might just be your perfect match. 🐶💛
