Adoption information
About Tofu
Tofu is a sensitive bird who came into care after getting injured and lost.
Tofu was absolutely terrified of humans when he first arrived, but has made some amazing progress since joining the sanctuary flock. He no longer hides in terror and even gives me the occasional head nod!
Tofu isn't a cuddly bird, but he would thrive with a special owner who is ready to take a gentle, patient approach to helping him continue to rebuild trust. Given how far he's come while here, he's likely to make amazing progress.
Tofu would be happiest with another feathered friend (or a flock!)
We strongly suspect Tofu is male, but this has not been confirmed. DNA sexing is available at-cost, if required.
Please note: As Tofu is a rescue bird, we do not know his age. PetRescue requires an age on all listings so we have listed him as '1' at the time of posting.
Medical notes
Tofu had a soft tissue leg/foot injury when he came into care and couldn't put weight on it. With medical care, this has resolved.
No known pre-existing medical conditions.
Tofu has received his yearly PMV vaccine.
All of our birds receive an updated crop and faecal prior to adoption.

This does not commit you to adopting a bird. It helps us understand your experience, lifestyle, and what you're looking for in a bird. This helps us match you with the right pigeon!
Once your application is received, we’ll have a conversation to discuss your application, answer any questions, and organise a meet and greet with the bird (if desired).
If you have any questions at any stage, please send us a message or email at peanutspigeonproject@gmail.com
