About Tofu
Tofu is a sensitive bird who came into care after getting injured and lost. Their owner was never found, so now Tofu is seeking a new perch to call their own.
Tofu needs a special owner who is ready to take a gentle, patient approach to helping them rebuild trust.
Tofu is scared of humans, but has made good progress since joining the sanctuary flock. They no longer run and hide in the corner whenever a person comes near, and they respond well to being spoken to with a sing-song voice.
Tofu is happiest when with feathered friends and would do well in an aviary or loft setting. They may be okay as an inside bird, but they would need a pigeon companion.
We think Tofu may be male but this has not been confirmed. DNA sexing is available for a small fee.
Please note: As Tofu is a rescue bird, we do not know their age. PetRescue requires an age on all listings so we have listed them as '1' at the time of posting.
