About Ollie - 1 Year Old Border Collie X Cattle Dog
Meet Ollie — a one-year-old Border Collie x Australian Cattle Dog with a heart as big as his personality.
Ollie is the kind of dog people instantly fall in love with and one look at him says it all. With his warm golden coat, expressive amber eyes, and that irresistibly soft, gentle face, he has a soulful look that melts you on the spot.
He absolutely adores affection — the kind of dog who will happily roll onto his side, lean into you, and soak up every bit of love and attention he can get. There’s just something about him — a warmth, an energy, a spark — that draws everyone in. Whether it’s humans or other dogs, Ollie has a natural charm that makes him impossible to ignore.
Currently in foster care with a three-year-old child, Ollie has proven himself to be gentle, patient, and wonderfully kid-friendly. He’s social, affectionate, and thrives on being part of the family.
He has an energy that seems to draw other dogs in, often winning over even the more reserved pups with his playful and friendly nature. A true social butterfly, Ollie lights up in the company of others. He thrives on connection — both human and canine — and brings a calm, friendly confidence to every interaction.
Ollie is house trained and has excellent toilet habits, happily waiting for his daily walks to do his business. He absolutely thrives on regular exercise and has been loving two walks a day in foster care — especially when one of those includes social time and play with his doggy friends. He would suit an active household that can keep up with his zest for life and love of the outdoors.
At night, Ollie is working on his crate training and is already showing great progress. He’ll happily take himself into his crate and settle in for a snuggle, as long as the door is left open for now — a great foundation that will continue to build with consistency.
Ollie would adore a doggy sibling (pending a meet and greet), as he genuinely enjoys companionship and play. That said, he would also thrive as an only dog in a home where someone is around more often than not — he loves being close and would happily soak up all the attention.
He’s been thriving on a fresh, home-cooked diet and is looking and feeling his absolute best. Ongoing training and enrichment will ensure he becomes the best he can be!
Ollie isn’t just a good dog — he’s a special one. The kind that leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and joyful companion to become part of your family, Ollie might just be your perfect match.
Ollie is in foster care in Valentine, NSW. He is available for adoption interstate. His adoption fee is $600 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
