About Sage
Hi y'all
My name is… well, I don’t always come when you call it (partially deaf perks), but I promise I’ll come running when I feel you coming… or smell snacks. Mostly snacks.
I’m a Staffy cross with at least 6 other breeds, with a heart of gold and a brain that sometimes forgets what it was doing halfway through doing it. People say I’m a bit dopey… I prefer the term charmingly confused.
I’ve got congenital cataracts, which means my eyesight isn’t the best and might get worse over time. But honestly? I don’t let that slow me down. I just live life a little differently—more sniffing, more feeling, more leaning into my foster siblings, or you for reassurance (and cuddles… definitely cuddles).
Because I can’t always hear or see properly, I’ll need a family who understands me and keeps me safe. But what I lack in senses, I make up for in LOVE.
I'm great with kids - I think they’re just small, loud best friends. I'm so gentle with the tiny humans in my foster home. I'm also great with other dogs. I'd absolutely need another doggy in my new home, someone that can be my ears and eyes, as well as my best friend. And look, they need to be friendly and patient, as I'm not always the best at picking up cues (you know, being partially deaf and blind and all)
I'm an absolutely goofball but an even bigger lovebug. I'm a snuggle fiend and will snuggle on your bed or couch with you for days.
I might bump into a wall occasionally or miss a cue here and there, but I’ll never miss a chance to love you with everything I’ve got.
If you’re looking for a perfectly imperfect best mate who will make you laugh, melt your heart, and remind you to enjoy the simple things… I’m your pup 🐾
Love Sage,
Your slightly wonky, very wonderful future best friend
Medical notes
- Congenital cataracts affecting vision
