About Cooper
🐾 MEET COOPER — tiny legs, big personality, and a nose that needs to know everything 💛🐾
Cooper is a 4.5-month-old Dachshund… which means yes — he is adorable, a little bit cheeky, and already quite sure he has important things to do 😌
At just 3.5kg, he’s the perfect “carry if needed, cuddle when allowed” size… although Cooper would prefer to walk himself, thank you very much.
He came into care through no fault of his own and is now looking for a home ready for puppy life — the fun, the learning, and the occasional “why are you chewing that?” moment 😂
Cooper is a good little pup with a very “dashie” way of doing things.
When he meets new people or dogs, he’ll pause…
have a little look…
maybe a cautious sniff…
…and then curiosity takes over and he’s off investigating like a tiny explorer 🐾
Once he’s comfortable, his personality really shines.
He’s playful, funny, and just a little bit dramatic in that endearing Dachshund way.
He loves toys — all of them — balls, tug toys, chew toys… if it exists, Cooper would like to try it. He’ll happily entertain himself, throw things around, or recruit you into a game if you’re available 😌
And then just as quickly…
he’s asleep.
Curled up on his soft blanket like he hasn’t just been causing tiny chaos moments before 🥹
He’s still learning all the puppy basics — toilet training is in progress (he’s getting there and understands puppy pads), lead walking is new, and crate training is currently a “no thank you” situation.
But he’s clever.
Really clever.
He makes eye contact, listens, and is very motivated by treats and toys — which means with a bit of patience and consistency, he’s going to grow into a wonderful little companion.
He does have a touch of FoMo (fear of missing out), so he likes to know what’s happening and be nearby — preferably involved, but nearby will do.
💛 Life with Cooper will likely include:
• A warm little dashie curled up in your bed at night (he would be very keen on this 😌)
• A playful doggy friend to wrestle, zoom and cause harmless chaos with
• A tiny shadow following you around making sure nothing exciting is missed
Cooper is good with children (younger kids untested) and while still learning about other dogs, he approaches them with curiosity once he feels safe.
🐱 Cat tested: Untested — but he may be a little too curious, so slow, careful introductions would be important.
He would suit a home that:
💛 Understands puppies come with learning curves
💛 Has patience (and a sense of humour 😌)
💛 Would love a playful little companion for another dog
Because Cooper isn’t just cute…
he’s got that little spark.
The kind that makes you laugh.
The kind that keeps you on your toes.
The kind that turns into the most loyal little companion.
✨ Cooper in a sentence:
A sweet, curious little dashie with a playful spirit, a clever mind, and just enough cheekiness to keep life interesting 💛🐾
If you’ve been waiting for a puppy who will make you smile every single day…
🐾 Cooper might already be your boy. 🐾
