About Sparky
Arriving scared, shut down and looking rather sad Slumpy has completely won over the hearts of all the staff and volunteers here at So Cares. With a new name Sparky he is now looking to start a new life in a brand new forever home.
Sparky is anxious, he started his journey with us so scared that even a touch would make him run, cower and wee himself. Fast forward to now and Sparky comes running over to all his new human friends (still learning not to jump up) and greets everyone with a huge wagging tail. Sparky is still learning that being handled is a positive but we are seeing him making leaps and bounds each and every day with big cuddle rewards!
Sparky will need to be the only dog in the home. He is learning that the world and all that is in it is not as scary as it seems. We are seeing his confidence grow with each and every interaction and believe that with ongoing training and socialisation he will continue to grow into a certified good boy.
We would recommend that Sparky does not live with young children. Due to his jumping and need for continued training a quieter home would be best where there aren't lots of moving parts while he continues to settle into life outside of the facility.
Sparky has a whole heap of love to give, he is just waiting for the right person / people to make him part of their family. Sparky is wrapped up in a small English staffy sized bundle of love and fun. He is waiting patiently to meet his new family and he just cannot wait.
