If you’re looking for a dog that will thrive in a working detection role or a sport or training home but also has an off switch, this girl is for you!
She’s equal parts athlete and cuddle bug; one minute she’s flying after a ball like it’s her life’s mission, the next she’s curled up beside you soaking up affection. She’s got a big engine and loves to use it, especially when there’s a game of fetch involved, and she shows some really exciting potential for detection work or competitive nose work (she’s already had a taste and wants more).
She’s not the social butterfly type with other dogs — she prefers quality over quantity. With the right match (calm, polite males who aren’t going to compete for the ball), she’s playful and fun. Out in the world, she’s pretty neutral (we’ve been working on ignoring when other dogs bark at her), a little shy, and walks nicely on leash.
With people, she’s the complete opposite; soft, responsive, and genuinely loves being around humans - adults and kids.
She’s respectful around chickens, and while the cat is still a bit of a mystery to her (equal parts curious and slightly intimidated), she’s handling it thoughtfully.
This is a dog who will thrive with someone who wants to do things - hikes, training, games, maybe even a working role, but also wants a dog who will switch off and be part of the family at the end of the day.
