About Jaws
Meet Jaws 🐾
Jaws is a happy, affectionate and resilient young pup who has taken everything life has thrown at him in stride. Despite a difficult start—including a broken jaw before he was 3 months old—he is completely trusting of people and other dogs, and has settled beautifully into home life.
His jaw has healed wonderfully and doesn’t cause him any trouble. He even enjoys gentle games of tug-of-war, showing off just how well he has recovered. The only lasting sign is his slightly offset smile, which means his tongue often flops out when he sleeps—usually paired with some very cute snoring.
He thrives on routine and structure. Jaws is an excellent crate sleeper and has slept through the night from day one. He happily uses his crate as a space to relax and decompress after playtime. At just four months old, he can already spend around two hours alone in his crate without accidents or distress. For now, he would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time while he continues to grow.
Jaws is a smart and curious puppy who enjoys enrichment activities like scent games. He is already learning his basics, including sit and stay, and is eager to keep progressing with training. As he is currently teething, he benefits from having plenty of appropriate chew toys and soothing options like frozen licky mats.
My ideal home:
Jaws would suit life with an individual, couple or family who understand the importance of routine for a puppy. He thrives when his days are structured with a balance of walks, training, play and rest.
- Experience with puppies is required
- A patient and consistent approach will help him continue to develop good habits
- Routine and structure are key to helping him feel settled and confident
A home with a garden would be ideal, giving him space to explore and relax. He enjoys calmly observing the world and has done well during short café visits and outings to watch weekend activities.
As a suspected Kelpie cross, he is likely to grow into an active dog and will need a lifestyle that can match his energy levels. He would be very happy living with another playful dog, but could also be an only dog if provided with regular social outings.
My energy level:
Jaws is an energetic puppy who enjoys walks, playtime and socialising with other dogs. He currently has three short walks a day (around 20 minutes each), which suits his age and helps him settle well afterwards.
As he grows, he will require longer walks and increased physical and mental stimulation. He also enjoys training and is already showing great progress, responding well to learning new skills.
My suitability to children:
Jaws has had positive interactions with children and would be suitable for a home with kids.
As he is currently teething, supervision is recommended around children under 13, as he may become mouthy during play or when overtired.
My suitability to other cats or dogs:
Jaws loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a playful canine companion.
He could also live as an only dog if given plenty of opportunities to socialise. He has not yet been tested with cats.
Jaws is a loving, engaging and resilient young dog who will thrive in a home ready to guide him through puppyhood and beyond.
