About Arthur
Arthur is a gentle dog who is underconfident, he is adjusting to the world around him. He can be unsure with new people but warms up quickly with treats, showing strong food motivation. On walks, Arthur is easily worried by traffic, busy environments, and people, suggesting he has lived a very sheltered life with little exposure outside the home, he is happy to observe at a distance and responds well to positive reinforcement and counter conditioning and desensatisation. He walks well on a harness and frequently checks in with his handler. He has shown fear based reactivity toward other dogs at close range, particularly when face to face, but is able to make positive choices by creating distance, checking in, and taking treats, indicating he is a good potential for rehabilitation with ongoing management. Overall, Arthur displays signs of generalised anxiety and would benefit from a calm, patient home that can help him gradually build confidence and adjust to everyday.
