It’s a big hello to you from me, the good looking Stag mix girl!

The first thing that you’ll notice after my good looks, or maybe even before that is my long and complicated name. Let me tell you I didn’t choose it… it was bestowed on me.

So it’s now incredibly important to me that you immediately adopt me and bless me with a simple, dignified name. You sure as heck don’t want to be calling out “Ashwagandha” all day! Start thinking now and I’ll be ready to give you big sloppy dog kisses when you christen me with my gorgeous new forever name... What do you reckon …a simple name would be fine with me so I’ll leave it up to you. I’ll be forever in your debt.

Anyway now that you’ve promised me a decent name I’ll tell you a little about myself. I’m living with my foster carers on a farm. I have a lovely big yard that I run around in, there are three other dogs who I love to play with. Yes I’m a well socialised gal so if you have another dog I’m going be pretty chuffed. I’ve got lovely long legs and I use them for high speed running. There’s another Staghound here with me and we have the best sprints around the yard. I mean Cathy Freeman step aside! My mate takes a bit of catching but geez we have some fun. After that I’m all tuckered out and need a good lie down.

Now about kids, I am a biggish sort of dog and at the moment I haven’t had a lot of interaction with young children, I think older dog savvy kids would be fine, I’m sure we’d have a lot of fun together. The little kids I’m worried I might knock over without really meaning to of course.

I have told you that I get along with other dogs but the other thing I need to confess is that I’m pretty partial to my food and I don’t know what possesses me to do it but I try to grab some food from the other dogs if they appear inattentive to their own meals. Now I’ve learnt my lesson a few times, the other dogs have given me a right telling off and a few snaps and snarls. So I’m a gorgeous girl but to be safe I feel I should be provided to my own private dining room where I won’t be tempted to scoff from others and cause a scene.

Now cats… I am a proud staghound x and for me that comes with prey drive. There are cats here at my foster home but they have the common sense not to come in the dog yard… smart those cats. Not sure what I’d do if I got the chance but it may be risky.

I’m still just a young gal and I have a lot to learn, I have mastered the basics of being a very good dog. I sit, go on my bed and I’m toilet trained. I’m a bit inclined to want to dash through the door when it’s opened and barge past you but you just have to give me firm training and boundaries because I’m a smart young girl and I want to be the goodest dog I can be. My foster mum has been teaching me to stay back and then she will let me in. It’s only because I just love being inside, I’m going to be your biggest smooch, there ain't nothing I like better than a good cuddle and scratch behind the ears. I’ll be wanting to sit on your feet and even on your lap if you give me half a chance.
