Tux - 2 Year Old Pomeranian

🐾 Meet Tux- The Small Pomeranian with a Big Personality Looking for His Forever Home 🐾

Tux is an almost 2-year-old male Pomeranian currently in foster care and ready to find his perfect forever family. Weighing under 4 kg, he is a very small boy with a huge heart and an even bigger love for both people and playtime.

Tux has recently been desexed and vaccinated (22nd April) and is fully up to date with flea, tick, and worm prevention, and is also microchipped. He has been fed a mixture of fresh food and kibble through his time in foster care.

✨ Personality & Energy
Tux is a playful, social little dog who absolutely loves interacting with other dogs. He has a high-energy play style and would do best either with:
• a similar-sized small dog who enjoys active play, or
• as the only dog in a home where he receives plenty of attention and engagement
He typically enjoys a big play session in the morning, relaxes during the day, and then has another playful burst in the evening before settling for bedtime.

💛 Affectionate Companion
Tux is a true cuddle bug who loves being close to his people just as much as he loves playing with his doggy friends. He would suit a home where someone is around more often than not.

🏡 Training & Progress
Tux is doing very well with his training and continues to improve every day:
• Walks nicely on lead but may bark at other dogs out of excitement because he wants to greet them.
• Currently about 80% toilet trained indoors (learning to use the balcony area in his foster home)
• Sleeps in his crate overnight and can stay there when owners are out, though he may cry briefly at first as he continues building positive crate association
He will need continued support and understanding with these 3 training objectives.

🐱 Other Pets
Tux currently lives with two cats. He sometimes tries to chase them because he wants to play, but he responds when redirected and is not aggressive. Tux also currently lives with his foster dog brother, who is a Pomeranian mix of a similar size and age. Tux would love a sibling that has a similar play style and temperament to him!

Tux would thrive in a loving home that understands small companion breeds and can continue to support his playful nature, continued training, and need for companionship. Like many small, young dogs, he will do best with structure, patience, and consistency while he finishes learning his routines. He is best suited to kids over 10 years.

He is in care in Newcastle area, NSW and is not available for interstate adoption. His adoption fee is $1100 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.
