About Jemima
Meet Jemima,
Jemima is a gentle little soul who hasn't had the easiest start in life, but she's been quietly blossoming during her time in the shelter. As she's learned to trust our team, her soft, affectionate side has started to shine-and it's truly something special.
She may be a little shy when she first arrives in her new home, so Jemima would love a calm, quiet household where she can take her time settling in. With patience, kindness, and plenty of gentle reassurance, you'll soon see her confidence grow day by day.
Jemima would be happiest in an adult home, though she could also suit cat-savvy older teens who understand the importance of going slow and letting her set the pace.
Once she feels safe, Jemima has so much love to give. Watching her come out of her shell and choose you as her person is a truly magical experience and she'll reward your patience with the sweetest companionship.
Adoption details
Our adoption process is designed to match you with the right pet, the first time. Our team are experts at rehoming animals who have specific needs that match your lifestyle, to ensure every adoption placement will last a lifetime.
At our Peninsula site, adoption hours are 12pm – 4pm. You are welcome to attend our reception office without an appointment to begin our adoption process during adoption hours.
The adoption areas are not free to walk through, and you will need to chat with our staff to confirm that a potential adoption is a good match.
Once the adoption has been discussed, a staff member will facilitate a walk-through of the adoption areas or have an animal brought to you in a greeting area.
