About Lainey
Miss Lainey is an 8-month-old Kelpie who leaves everyone she meets with the same impression, that she is just the sweetest.
Lainey can be a little shy when faced with new people and experiences at first. But don’t let that deter you — once you earn her trust, you’ll be rewarded with an incredibly special dog. She is a true cuddle bug at heart, happiest after a good run, curled up on the couch for the rest of the day. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs and thrives in their company.
Lainey has also shown herself to be wonderfully gentle around chickens, cats, and livestock, with no desire to chase — even kangaroos on walks don’t catch her interest. For a Kelpie, she has a beautifully calm nature, and with one good walk and play each day, she’s content to relax.
Lainey is smart and eager to learn. She picked up sit within minutes and is continuing to grow in confidence with training. She is crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is doing very well with both house training and walking on lead. Her recall is impressive, and she naturally checks in often — she likes to keep her people close.
The ideal home for Lainey would be a calm, patient environment where she can continue to build confidence at her own pace. She would thrive on a property with space to roam and feel safe, away from busy environments. A gentle, well-mannered dog companion would be a huge benefit to her, helping her come out of her shell. While she is fine with children, a home with older kids who understand her sensitive nature would suit her best.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion for a hobby farm or a gentle soul who will form a deep bond, Lainey is absolutely worth the time and patience. Once she trusts you, she truly is something special.
Lainey is located in VIC.
