About Chilli - 2 Year Old Staffy X
Hi, I’m Chili. I’m 2 years old, medium-sized, and absolutely convinced I’m a small lap dog.
If you have a sofa, great, I’ll share it.
If you have a lap, even better, I’ll take it.
If you thought personal space was a thing… we can work on that.
I’m a Staffy x with a big heart, a curious nose, and a slightly goofy personality. I love sniffing everything on my walks (I’ve got an active pace to match!), playing tug-of-war, getting belly rubs, and being involved in whatever you’re doing. Honestly, if you’re there, I want to be there too.
I bond deeply with my people and am very friendly with humans, I just love attention. I can get a bit too excited when meeting people (we’re working on keeping all four paws on the ground), but it just means I’m really happy to see you.
Also… I should mention: I’m quite generous with kisses. If you’re not into a bit of doggy affection (aka licking), we might not be the perfect match 😄
I’m toilet trained, I sit and wait for my meals like a very good girl, and I’m generally good on the lead. Sometimes I get a bit enthusiastic and pull, especially when I see other dogs. I’m still learning how to properly socialise and build confidence around them, so this will need ongoing training.
I rarely bark, but when I feel unsure, I might whine a little to ask for reassurance. I also find comfort in having a soft toy nearby, something to gently chew on helps me relax.
My non-negotiables (yes, I have standards):
- Someone home most of the time (I like company!)
- An active home with daily active walks, play, and things to do
- A secure yard
- No young kids
- No small free-roaming pets
- I’d like to be your one and only dog for now
- A human committed to training, routine, and helping me build confidence
I’m a sensitive rescue girl, still learning that I’m safe and home for good. I do best with predictable routines, gradual exposure to new situations, and people who focus on building trust and confidence. I can find long periods alone challenging, but with patience and consistency, I continue to settle and grow.
I love a good nap, especially if it’s on your lap. Honestly, the closer I am to you, the better I sleep.
I’m not a “low-effort” dog… but I am a deeply loving one. Once I trust you, I’m all in. Loyal, affectionate, slightly clingy (okay, very clingy), and always ready to keep your lap warm.
If you’re looking for space and independence, I’m not your girl.
But if you want a shadow, a cuddle bug, and a best friend who will love you endlessly, I’m ready when you are 💛
