Brigalow is one of seven beautiful puppies from ARK’s Country Litter, born on 3 March 2026.
His dad is a gorgeous purebred Maremma and his mum is a Cattle Dog with a rich brown coat. Brigalow is growing into a very handsome young fellow, with a beautiful fawn tricolour coat and a striking double mask. He weighed 6.3 kg on 28 April, so we expect him to grow into a good-sized dog.
Brigalow’s foster mum describes him as gentle and sweet, a cuddly little soul who loves affection and enjoys being close to his people. He is a little more reserved than some of his littermates, but that is part of his charm. He is not the loudest puppy in the room. He is more the soft-hearted boy who quietly works his way onto your lap and then your heart.
Like all puppies, Brigalow is playful, curious and still learning about the world. He enjoys puppy treats, cuddles and the company of his littermates. He will need a home that understands he is still very young and will require patience, training, socialisation and guidance as he grows.
Given his Maremma and Cattle Dog heritage, Brigalow is likely to mature into an intelligent, loyal and good-sized dog. He will be best suited to a home that can offer him space, structure, companionship and gentle leadership. He is not a puppy to be left to raise himself in the backyard. He needs to be included as part of the family and given the chance to develop into the lovely dog he is already showing himself to be.
Brigalow will be adopted under ARK’s Deferred Desexing Program, which includes desexing when age appropriate, subject to the terms and conditions of the adoption contract.

Brigalow is a beautiful, gentle pup with a soft nature and a very big future ahead of him. For the right family, he will be a wonderful companion.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the “meet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
