About Ruby
🐾 MEET RUBY — a little retired mama ready for her own happily ever after 💛🐾
Ruby is a 6 year and 10 month old Cavoodle, a 6.8kg of fluff, heart, and wagging tail… and now that her breeding days are behind her, she’s ready for something completely new — being someone’s much-loved furkid 🥹
Rescue has completed all of Ruby’s vet work, and now this beautiful girl is ready to find the home where she can spend the rest of her life doing what she does best… loving and being loved.
And oh, Ruby does love 💛
She’s the kind of girl who doesn’t just want to be in your home — she wants to be with you.
By your side.
On your bed.
Possibly in your lap before you’ve even sat down 😌
Ruby is mostly a cuddler, a quiet little companion who enjoys the simple things — lounging in a soft bed, a wander around the yard, a stroll around the neighbourhood, and keeping an eye on the world from her favourite perch on top of the recliner. (Yes… she has opinions about the front window view 😂)
Her tail deserves its own mention.
Say her name and it starts.
Pick up the lead and it goes into overdrive.
It may honestly have a life of its own 💛
She has the sweetest, funniest little facial expressions too — curious, hopeful, pleading for cuddles… and sometimes she skips the asking part and simply jumps up to claim them herself 🥹
Ruby is toilet trained, uses a doggy door, crate trained, walks beautifully on lead, and settles easily into home life. She does enjoy a little bark at unfamiliar sounds or visitors, but calms quickly.
She can happily live as an only dog soaking up all the attention (which she would not object to 😌), or with a calm, submissive dog who doesn’t mind Ruby occasionally gate-crashing pats because she believes affection should be shared… mostly with her.
She adores attention, thrives on praise, and will absolutely need a home willing to indulge her love of cuddles.
And while she has the sweet soul of a gentle companion, there’s a cheeky little sparkle to Ruby too — a bit of sass, a bit of comedy, and a whole lot of personality.
✨ Ruby in a sentence:
A tiny retired mama with a wild wagging tail, a heart full of love, and a lifetime of cuddles still to give 💛🐾
If you’re looking for a loyal little shadow who will adore you completely…
🐾 Ruby may just be your girl. 🐾

Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption - each bio will state if available for adoption - please check before applying.
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
