Hunter

Hunter is a gorgeous Labrador with a big heart who is looking for a committed foster to adopt home to help him continue his journey.

When Hunter first came into our care, he found it difficult to regulate his emotions and settle calmly in his environment. With support from our training and veterinary team, and the addition of behavioural medication, he has made incredible progress and is showing us just how capable he is. He is a smart, food motivated boy which makes training a dream, and he genuinely enjoys learning and working with his people.

Hunter loves getting out for a short walk and then relaxing at home, though he is still building up his fitness so he is not looking for a highly active lifestyle just yet. He would thrive in a quieter home with a secure yard where he can decompress, feel safe, and continue practising his calm behaviours. Ongoing training and enrichment will be really important for him, and he will do best with people who are patient, consistent, and committed to supporting him. He would be best in a home with owners who don't work full time.

While Hunter is a friendly boy, he can find it harder to stay regulated around other animals, so he is best suited as the only pet in the home. In the right environment, with the right guidance, Hunter has so much potential to continue growing into a settled, happy companion.
