About Lily rstk009517
Lily is a stunning tortoiseshell beauty with a gentle soul and a heart just waiting to bloom. While she will not be the first to greet you at the door, those who take the time to get to know her will discover just how special she is.
Very shy and timid in new environments and around unfamiliar people, Lily needs a patient and understanding person who can give her the time and space she needs to feel safe. Trust doesn’t come quickly for her—but once you’ve earned it, you’ll be rewarded with a deep, loving bond that’s incredibly special.
Lily would thrive in a calm, quiet home where life is predictable and peaceful. She’s best suited to a household without children or dogs, where she can settle in at her own pace and feel secure. With time, her true personality shines through—a sweet, affectionate girl who absolutely adores cuddles with her chosen person.
A lover of routine (and her food!), Lily is especially motivated by her favourite treats, which are a great way to win her over. Once she feels safe, she becomes a gentle, loving companion who enjoys quiet moments and close connection.
Lily isn’t for everyone—but for the right person, she’ll be everything.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
