Latte

Latte is a beautiful little mystery wrapped up in soft eyes and a gentle soul.
While her microchip says Kelpie mix, the rest of Latte's family tree is anyone's guess - but whatever combination created her, it resulted in one very special girl looking for an equally special home.

At 4 years old, Latte is an incredibly reserved and sensitive sweetheart who finds the world a little overwhelming at times. She is not the kind of dog who will rush up to strangers for pats or settle into a new environment overnight. Instead, Latte needs time - lots of it - to decompress, observe from a safe distance, and slowly learn that she is safe. Trust does not come quickly for her, and any future family will need to understand that building a bond with Latte will be a gradual process built on patience, consistency and kindness.

For the people willing to give her that time and understanding, Latte quietly begins to show the most gentle and affectionate side of herself. Watching her slowly gain confidence and choose to trust her people is incredibly rewarding, but she will need a home committed to supporting her every step of the way.

Latte is searching for a calm, predictable home with people who have experience with rescue dogs and understand the care, patience and compassion needed to help fearful or reserved dogs settle in and blossom. She would greatly benefit from living with a calm and confident canine companion who can help show her that the world - and the humans in it - do not need to be scary. A quiet household without young children would suit her best, along with secure fencing and owners who are home more often than not to help her feel safe and supported as she adjusts.

Although Latte has a calm nature, she will still need daily exercise and mental enrichment to keep her happy and balanced. Gentle walks, sniffy adventures and quiet bonding time with her trusted people will be right up her alley.

Latte may never be the bold, outgoing dog who demands attention from everyone she meets - but for the right person, she will be an incredibly special companion. The kind of dog who teaches you that trust is earned slowly, and that the quietest hearts often leave the biggest impact.
