About Willow
Meet Willow – a brave young pup learning what it means to feel safe, loved, and free. Our vet estimates she was born on 28 June 2025.
Willow came to us from the pound in mid-April with a wound between her eyes, which has since been treated and is healing well. At just 18 kg on arrival, she was significantly underweight, but she is now steadily gaining condition in foster care and starting to look and feel much better.
After a difficult start in life, this beautiful Great Dane/Bull Arab mix girl is slowly realising that people can be kind and that food will always be there. While she has some Great Dane in her mix, we suspect she’ll skip the “giant dog” memo — think more “large, lovely girl” than “takes up the whole couch and half the lounge room.”
Her confidence grows a little more each day, and with every milestone, her playful, affectionate personality shines brighter.
Willow is a young, energetic dog who loves to run, explore, and be part of whatever her humans are doing. She will need space to play, gentle guidance, and positive training to keep her busy mind happy.
She adores cuddles and attention and will thrive with patient people who can offer the consistency and reassurance she has not yet had.
Willow would be best suited to a home without cats or birds. Older children and possibly a calm, mature dog could be lovely companions with a careful introduction.
Willow’s journey has not been easy, but her heart is wide open. She is ready to bloom into the loyal, loving companion she was always meant to be.
