Meet Olli, a fun loving 10 month old Golden Retriever with a zest for life and a personality that will keep you smiling every day. Olli is the perfect mix of playful energy and affectionate charm. He loves to run, play, and show off his joyful zoomies, but he’s just as happy soaking up attention from his people.
Olli is a social young boy who absolutely adores other dogs and people. He is more confident when around other dogs and really thrives in their company, often looking to them for reassurance and play. Because of this, we would be seeking a home with a friendly female dog who can help continue to build his confidence and provide companionship. Olli is currently living in a home with multiple dogs of different ages and breeds and fits in beautifully, showing great social skills and an easygoing nature. Olli has not been tested with cats.
He has also been around small children and teenagers and displays lovely manners, making him a great candidate for a family home.
He already has a great foundation of training in place. Olli walks nicely on lead with a harness and knows some impressive commands including sit, shake hands, and drop. He is also fully housetrained, making him an easy addition to his new home. Like most Goldens, he is very food motivated, which makes ongoing training both rewarding and enjoyable.
Olli is currently eating a premium puppy dry food and has a great appetite. He also enjoys tasty treats like carrot and watermelon, and honestly, he’s happy to try just about anything you offer him!
Olli truly embraces life’s fun moments. He loves his toys, enjoys a good play session, and has a special love for zooming around especially in the rain! Watching Olli play in wet weather is guaranteed to bring a smile, as he makes the most of every moment with pure joy.
When it comes to grooming, Olli prefers a gentle brush over bath time at home, and with his beautiful Golden coat, regular grooming will help keep him looking his best. He has been professionally groomed this week as was very well behaved for the groomer.
With his happy nature and loving personality, Olli would suit a home where he can continue to be included as part of the family. He has a wonderful foundation and will thrive with continued love, structure, and plenty of playtime.
Ideal home:
A nice size backyard with grass and shelter and secure fencing
Olli would thrive in an active home that can match his energy and enthusiasm for life.
A home with a friendly playful dog of similar size and energy would be fabulous and is essential to help support his confidence and allow him to flourish.
He would suit a family environment, including homes with respectful children, where he can be included in daily life.
His new family should be able to provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, and ongoing training.
