About Lucky
Lucky is a super affectionate, snuggly boy who absolutely adores his people. He’s the kind of dog who will happily jump up beside you and lean right in for cuddles, completely trusting and full of love. If you’re looking for a true companion, Lucky is your guy.
He has the cutest constantly wagging tail and wiggly little bum — he’s almost always happy and ready to share that joy with everyone around him.
He’s a big foodie and gets very excited at mealtimes, sometimes a little too excited, but it’s all part of his enthusiastic, lovable nature.
Lucky already knows some great basics including sit, stay and drop, and he has good recall around the home. He appears to be toilet trained, though he is currently doing a bit of marking, which he responds to well with correction and should continue to improve when his hormones settle after desexing.
He enjoys the company of other dogs, though he can show a slightly dominant streak and a touch of jealousy at times, so thoughtful introductions and ongoing guidance will be beneficial. He is not suited to a home with cats.
Lucky travels beautifully in the car and settles down to sleep, and he walks well on lead, making him a lovely companion to take out and about. He’s not a particularly vocal dog, aside from some very cute snuffles and snores.
When excited, Lucky can be a bit of a jumper, so he may be best suited to a home without very young children.
Lucky will be desexed and ready to head to his new home after May 8th. He is a loving, happy little dog who will thrive in a home where he can be part of the family and enjoy plenty of companionship and affection and take up most of your bed 🫣😅
Medical notes
Lucky has an overbite. It doesn't affect his ability to eat normally.
Adoption details
If you’re interested in adopting, the first step is to submit an application so we can get a sense of your home, lifestyle and what you’re looking for in a dog. From there, we’ll be in touch with suitable applicants to chat further and, if it sounds like a good match, arrange a meet and greet.
Meet and greets give everyone the chance to get to know each other and make sure it’s the right fit. If all goes well, we’ll move ahead with finalising the adoption and arranging a time for your new dog to head home.
All of our dogs are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and brought up to date with parasite prevention prior to rehoming.
Our adoption fees help cover the cost of this veterinary care, as well as any additional treatment a dog may need while in our care. They also play an essential role in our wider non-profit rescue work as any remaining funds go directly toward feeding and caring for the many farmed animals at our sanctuary, allowing us to continue rescuing and supporting animals in need.
By adopting, you’re not only giving a dog a home- you’re also helping us provide ongoing care for hundreds of rescued animals who call our sanctuary home. 🥰
