Hi, I’m Dezzy! I’m a cute, gentle little guy who had a tough start to life. I came into care at just a few days old, covered in oil, but I’ve overcome it all and am now an absolute joy.

I even lost all my fur due to environmental impacts and had to stay warm in a little sock while it regrew but now it’s coming back longer and more beautiful every day!

I’m a bottle-raised kitten, so I’m very people-focused. I absolutely love cuddles, belly rubs, and pats, and I purr with all my might whenever I can. I’m a formidable smoocher and love face rubs!

I love toy, whether it’s feather toys, balls, toy mice, and recently I’ve discovered the laser pointer.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I get along well with other pets and adapted easily to visits from active young children. I’ve played daily with a toddler and have always been friendly and playful.

I was a bit unsure about the dog at first, but now I happily run up for a smooch!

I could live on my own, as long as I’m not left alone all day, but I’d be happy in homes with other pets as long as we have gentle, supervised slow introductions.

Likes / Dislikes
I love watching “cat TV” and will happily sit and watch a phone screen. I enjoy sleeping on soft, fluffy blankets on the lounge or on my foster mum’s bed, and I also love my cosy cave bed.

I love being held, carried, and fussed over. I love to play, explore, wrestle, and most of all, cuddle up in your arms, smooching and purring like crazy.

I have perfect litter manners, eat well, and love being held, carried, and following my foster mum around to explore everything she does.

I can get a little startled by loud noises or sudden movements and may run to find a safe spot, but I’m very curious and will come back once things settle.

I’m not bothered by the vacuum or a barking dog rushing past.

My PURR-fect home would be where I have a moment to build confidence with my new people. With reassurance, I adjust quickly. I thrive on attention and would suit almost home. I’ll grow into a longer-haired cat, so I’ll need regular brushing (I’m already practising!).

Perth Rescue Angels recommends all cats are indoor only, unless they have access to a secure cat enclosure.

Medical Notes: Dezzy had cat flu, which is a respiratory infection. He was treated for this and given the all clear by the vet.
