About Mala
Mala is a sweet little character with a big personality and an even bigger love for the people she trusts. She is very much a girls girl and would feel most comfortable with a female primary carer. A man can absolutely live in the home, but Mala is happiest when she can choose her own pace around male household members. Once she feels safe, her affectionate and funny nature really shines.
Mala loves the good things in life. Getting dressed up is one of her favourite hobbies, and she proudly enjoys her collar, lead, coats and jackets. She also loves car rides, enjoys a gentle walk at her own slower pace, sleeps beautifully through the night, and would be thrilled to share a cosy bed with her new person. She cannot jump up, but she adores being lifted onto a lap for cuddles and companionship. Mala knows sit and responds well to her name.
She has classic terrier curiosity and likes to know what is happening around her. She has lived well around cats, birds and dogs, with sensible introductions and management. She may bark or react initially to other dogs when excited, but has settled well after slow introductions. At times, if she becomes over-aroused or overly excited, she benefits from some quiet time to decompress and settle again. Mala would suit a home where someone is around often, as she can take a little time to settle when left. She is mostly toilet trained, though she strongly dislikes cold or wet weather and may need a supportive escort outside on those days.
If you are looking for a loyal little sidekick with charm, quirks and plenty of love to give, Mala may be your girl.
