About Summer
*In foster care in Surry Hills, Sydney*
A playful, sweet and loving girl, Summer has come such a long way since her first days in foster care!
Heavily pregnant, she'd been living on the street and didn't know what to expect from the first humans who'd ever loved her. She now adores her foster carer, and she's settling into domestic life like she was born to it :) Summer's babies have all found wonderful homes, so now it's her turn for a 'happy purrever after'!
Approximately two years young, Summer's looking for a patient household where she'll be given all the time she needs to get comfortable and feel at home. The world around her can still feel a bit scary, but she's getting more confident every day!
Like all Maggie’s pets, Summer is microchipped, desexed, and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be with a kind-hearted single person or couple, or maybe a family with children aged 10+. In some ways I'm still learning how to cat - I hiss for food, I hiss for pats (so I've got some quirks. Who doesn't?), but I also trill when I’m happy and meow excitedly when playing with a favourite toy. All I really need is to feel safe, secure and loved, without any pressure.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: High! I really enjoy a good fishing pole or a mouse toy, and I'll tell you all about how proud I am to have caught it.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I haven't spent any time with kids yet, so it's hard to say. Possibly a family with gentle, cat-loving children aged 10+ might be suitable?
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: My only experience of other pets at this stage is my kittens (love!), and a fox terrier who came to visit once (did NOT love). But my mummy hormones were in overdrive at the time, so it's hard to say how I might feel about things when I'm completely back to normal.

We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form at https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870. Please use this link rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
