About Terry - The Tabby Looking for His Forever Lap
Meet Terry, a charming 7-year-old tabby boy with a heart full of love and a quirky personality that will win you over in no time.
Terry is an incredibly affectionate and social cat who thrives on companionship. Confident and outgoing, he’s the kind of cat who genuinely enjoys meeting new people — he’s even been known to try hopping into a stranger’s car just to say hello! He’s talkative too, often chatting away in his own special way as he follows you from room to room. His easy-going, slightly goofy nature makes every day with him feel warm and full of personality.
At his core, Terry is a true professional lap cat. He’s happiest curled up close to his people, soaking up cuddles on the couch, chair, or bed. While he’ll happily join in for a short play session now and then, his greatest joy is simply being near you, sharing quiet moments and plenty of affection. He adapts quickly to new surroundings and will settle into your home with ease, ready to become a cherished member of the family.
Terry loves the simple pleasures in life: long, luxurious naps, tasty snacks, and quality time with his favourite humans. He enjoys spending some time outside during the day, so a secure backyard or catio would be ideal for safe exploration. He has never lived with other cats, but he gets along beautifully with cat-friendly dogs and enjoys cuddling up with them. While he’s been around small children occasionally, he tends to keep his distance, so he would do best in a calm home with older children or adults who can offer him the peaceful companionship he craves.
Terry is being rehomed through no fault of his own due to a change in his owner’s circumstances. He is a sweet, loving boy who deserves a home where someone is around often and happy to share their space — and their lap — with him. He isn’t the biggest fan of brushing, but a favourite treat usually convinces him to sit still for a quick groom.
If you’re looking for a cuddly, talkative, and incredibly loving companion who will greet you with purrs and happily claim your lap as his own, Terry might just be the perfect match for you.
Terry is approximately 7 years old, has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, and is ready to find his new forever family right meow.
If you think you have the room in your heart and your home to provide this gorgeous little soul with a great life please let us know and we’ll be more than happy to arrange a time for you to meet and fall in love with him.
Located in Boronia with his amazing foster family.

About Us
Urban Feline Australia is a small, independent cat rescue dedicated to saving surrendered cats from kill shelters and finding them loving, permanent homes.
Founded and run by a passionate animal lover with the support of dedicated friends and volunteers, we specialise in caring for cats that have previously lived in family homes but, for various reasons, can no longer stay with their owners.
Since our inception, we have been fortunate to build a small but dedicated network of volunteer foster carers. These compassionate individuals welcome the surrendered cats into their homes, providing them with love, care, and a safe environment while we search for their perfect forever families.
As a tiny, grassroots rescue with no government funding or large facilities, every rescue is powered by compassion, community support, and a genuine commitment to animal welfare.
All adoption fees and donations go directly toward the essential needs of the cats in our care — including premium food, veterinary treatment, litter, equipment, and ongoing medical support. We rely heavily on the generosity of our foster carers, volunteers, and supporters to continue our work.
Our long-term vision is to expand so we can help even more cats in need. This includes securing a larger dedicated property and, one day, possibly opening a cat café to raise awareness and funds while creating a welcoming space for cat lovers.
How You Can Help

We are always in need of foster carers. If you have a safe, loving temporary home and would like to help us care for a cat on their journey to their forever family, please get in touch. The more foster homes we have, the more cats we can save.

Adoption details
We try to make things very easy and straight forward while at the same time making sure we are matching the right cat to the right home.
The first step in the adoption process is a quick chat over the phone to make you are able meet the cats needs and your home is a good fit for the cats personality.
From there we will organize a meet and greet the cats foster home where you will be able to see the cat in action and get a gauge of their personality.
Once you have adopted you new furry feline friend we offer ongoing support and you are welcome to contact us anytime if you have questions, concerns or need advice.
We work hard to make sure that each cat is a good fit for their new home but in the unlikely even that things do not work out we have a 21 day cooling off period and you are more than welcome to return the cat to us during that time.
We will happily refund 50% of the adoption fee or you are welcome to donate this refund to assist with the ongoing cost of the animals care.
