About Krueger - 4 Year Old Maine Coon
Meet Krueger, a 4 year old Maine Coon with a big heart and even bigger paws. Through no fault of his own, Krueger is looking for a new home due to a change in family circumstances. He is a much-loved boy, and this decision has not been made lightly.
Krueger’s ideal home is a calm, indoor-only environment where he will have plenty of companionship, ideally with someone home most of the time. He would suit a household with older, respectful children and would be happiest as the only pet, though a calm, cat-friendly companion may be considered.
Krueger is a gentle, placid, and affectionate companion who enjoys being part of everyday life. He will quietly follow you from room to room or settle nearby, content just to be with his people.
He enjoys playtime with strings, ribbons, and cardboard boxes, balanced with long naps in sunny spots and bird-watching from the window. He is also known for his morning chats, making sure your day starts with a friendly check-in.
Krueger loves being brushed and is very easy-going with handling. He is happy to be picked up, patted, and groomed, and he has excellent manners, including not scratching furniture. He has even learned a few tricks, which he happily performs at mealtimes.
He has lived as an indoor-only cat and has only experienced the outdoors through supervised harness time. He has not lived with other pets before.
Krueger will only be considered for an indoor-only home. His safety and wellbeing depend on a secure indoor environment, and this is a non-negotiable requirement for adoption.
To help him settle in, Krueger will come with his cat castle, litter tray and litter, grooming tools, bowls, toys, and some food.
Additional note: Krueger has a history of pemphigus (an autoimmune condition) which affected him as a kitten. He required medication at the time but has been symptom-free and off medication for over a year. He is currently thriving, and his new family will be provided information and unused spare medication, if desired.
His adoption fee is $900. Krueger comes with pedigree papers, is microchipped, desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and up to date with all veterinary care.
He is in foster care in the Lake Macquarie area of Newcastle, where a local adoption is preferred to minimise travel stress.
