About Plume
Meet Plume, a sweet kelpie girl with a soft and gentle nature who adores cuddles with her trusted human.
Plume is an easy dog to have around and would make a fantastic farm companion. She loves to be by your side – helping with farm chores, quality testing the strawberries, and providing excavation services when planting is required. She is well-behaved around the sheep, goats and chooks.
Plume has a great off-switch after her exercise, and makes a pleasant working-from-home colleague.
She has lovely, respectful manners with other dogs, and, after gentle introductions, she’s very happy to launch into full-speed zoomies and games of bitey face!
She will need a home with a stable and playful doggie pal, preferably 18 months or older, who can help guide her when she is worried, as she’s still finding her confidence and can get overwhelmed in new situations.
Plume is looking for an active and patient family who will work on building her confidence, allow her inside as part of the family, and include her in their daily lives. She will need some time and patience when moving into her new home.
Her new family must be committed to continuing her exposure to the world and ongoing training to make sure she develops into a well-adjusted dog.
She is looking for a home in a quiet environment – busy suburbia and city life would be too overwhelming.
If you think Plume might be the best mate you’ve been searching for, send us an application with some details about the life you can offer her.
Plume is located in TAS.
Medical notes
Plume has an abnormality in her left eye that causes it to intermittently dry out and become irritated. When this happens, cleaning it gently with warm salty water helps manage the irritation. In low light, her left eye looks slightly cloudy as a result of this issue. She's been seen by our vet, who advises her vision is unaffected, and she is not in any pain. Her eye should be monitored and reviewed at her annual health check ups with the vet, and any major changes would warrant referral to an ophthalmologist.
