About Copper
Copper by name and copper by colour. This gentle 14wo red and tan kelpie x border collie is ready to mine his way into your heart.
Copper is a thoughtful soul who likes to survey the land before blasting in to it, though he does suffer from a classic case of FOMO! If the other dogs are in the hoomans face he simply must join in. He enjoys running with his doggy pals, having a good wrestle and napping.
He knows his name, sleeps soundly in his crate all night, is pretty good at doing a sit and his recall improves each day. While you do your jobs; he's happy to trot along after you or nap nearby, generally with his legs in the air! He's working on wait for dinner but it's pretty hard with the extra competition. He's also been working on his lead walking and finds encouragement from an offered treat.
He's had exposure to children however would prefer older kids that are less prone to screams and sudden movements. He hasn't raised an eyebrow at the chickens and is yet to encounter a feline.
Copper is looking for a rural home where he can tail along with his people and a doggy sibling. He's a sensitive boy who is still building his confidence and needs a home that understands his need for a calm environment.
If you've been looking for a charming little man to join your crew, Copper is waiting for you.
Copper is located in NSW.
