Breed: Border Collie x Koolie
Iāve been a much-loved family dog, but Iāve recently found myself looking for a new home after developing a bit of a fascination for the neighbourās chooks.
Now, in my defenceā¦ I didnāt hurt them. I just really enjoyed the excitement. The flapping, the squawking, the feathers flyingā¦ it all got a bit too interesting.
Apparently, thatās not ideal and it caused my dear family a lot of distress, for which I'm sorry.
But aside from my questionable taste in entertainment, Iām actually a very good boy.

Iām at that perfect stage in life where Iāve grown up, settled down, and just want to be a steady, easy companion. No nonsense, no dramas ā just a sensible dog who knows how to live in a home.

ā Secure fencing (importantā¦ for obvious reasons)
ā A home with no chooks (Iāve learned my lessonā¦ but best not to test me)
ā A family who will let me be part of everyday life
ā Indoor privileges please
Iād suit someone who doesnāt want the hard work of a puppy, but also isnāt ready for a senior dog ā just a good, honest dog in his prime.
I really am a lovely boy. I just need a home where my interests are, shall we say, better managed.

Adoption details
Dogs:
(1) The first step is to complete the online adoption application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Please answer all questions and include photos of your yard and fencing.
(2) All applications will be considered by our Adoption Team, following which a "meet and greet" will be offered to the top-ranking applicant.
(3) If the āmeet and greet" is successful, the applicant may adopt the dog and take him or her home the same day.
(4) For successful interstate applicants, different arrangements may apply and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
Cats:
If you are interested in one of our cats or kittens, please click on the green "Enquire about ...", button, tell us a bit about yourself and the home you can offer the cat, and one of our volunteers will be in touch.
