About Junie rstk013767
Junie is a sweet young lady with a gentle and sensitive nature. She can be quite shy when meeting new people or adjusting to new environments, so she’ll need a patient and understanding person who can give her the time she needs to feel safe and settled. With kindness and consistency, you’ll slowly see her confidence grow.
As a true tortoiseshell, Junie has an independent streak and likes things on her own terms—but once you’re in her circle, she is quietly affectionate and forms a lovely bond with her person. She’s the kind of companion who will reward your patience with trust and loyalty.
Junie is searching for a calm, quiet home where she can feel secure. Busy households are overwhelming for her, and she is particularly frightened of children, so an adult-only home is essential. She would also prefer to be the “only child,” where she can enjoy her space and build a close connection with her human without competition.
Having never ventured outdoors, Junie is strictly an indoor-only cat. The outside world would simply be too big and frightening for her, so she’ll need a safe indoor environment where she can relax and thrive.
Junie does have one small quirk—she prefers clumping litter only, please!
If you’re looking for a gentle, independent companion and are happy to let her set the pace, Junie could be the perfect addition to your quiet home.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
