About Bear
Bear is the definition of a true gentleman—beautifully behaved in the home, easy to handle, and a dream on walks with solid recall.
He’s got that classic Kelpie brain (smart as anything!) paired with a soft, devoted nature and absolutely adores his humans.
Honestly, he’d choose you over just about anything… every single time.
Bear is a social boy who gets along well with other dogs and dog-savvy cats, but deep down, Bear would be happiest soaking up all the love as your one-and-only.
Favorite things:
🥎Ball enthusiast (collector, chaser, life-long fan)
🏝️Water lover… puddles, splashes, mud—yes please!
🥕 Snack connoisseur—carrots, cucumber, leftovers… he’s not fussy!
Dislikes:
🚫 Foot rubs, washing.or general touching of toe beans… absolutely not, thank you very much
Bear enjoys his adventures but prefers to keep things low-impact—no wild jumping games, as he needs a little care for those joints. He’s happiest with relaxed play, sniffy walks, and time spent by your side.
He’s fantastic with kids of all ages and would suit a reasonably low impact active home—bonus points if someone is around more often than not, because this boy lives for his people.
A couple of quirks to keep life interesting:
🐰 Occasionally tempted to “politely” chase a bunny or two
🐴 Thinks horses need help being herded (he’s working on that one!)
Bear is equal parts sweet, silly, and soulful—the kind of dog who will make you laugh, keep you company, and quietly steal your heart without even trying.
Medical notes
Bear refuses to accept that being 10 years makes him a senior.
And his ball addiction isn't something he is able to control.
Therefore he does need a rest day or few every so often and limited ball time or he may hobble a little.
(Please pretend you don't really notice, he finds age talk a tad awks)
He has nothing serious going on, just *cough* old age...
