Meet Tucker!

He could very well be your future best mate with a whole lot of puppy energy and a cheeky side! He’s a bright, bouncy cattle dog pup that would make a great adventure buddy!

***Please note that you will need to have experience with working breed dogs and the time and patience to build on the amazing training that Tucker is receiving with his foster carer.***

Tucker’s ideal home would include an older, well-behaved dog who can teach him good manners and help build his confidence further. A hobby farm or property would be a dream, giving him space to run, explore, and eventually join his owner on the daily chores farm life requires. However, he could also thrive in an active home that is committed to providing plenty of physical exercise and mental stimulation to need his needs.

Tucker is full of life and always ready for action, wrestling and zooming are his favourite! He’s playful, affectionate, and food motivated. He loves being included in everyday life and enjoys spending time with people and other dogs.

As Tucker is still very young, he needs patience and guidance as he learns basic skills and boundaries. Tucker is still deciding if the crate is a cosy room or a jail, but his foster carer is being consistent with his training and we are seeing small improvements each day. Tucker is still learning about the world, the different smells, sounds and sights.

Environmental exposure is also something he has been doing in foster care to set him up for success in the future. Ongoing training and mental stimulation will be important to help him grow into a well-behaved and happy adult dog. Tucker will benefit from having a consistent owner who is willing to continue his training.
