Meet Kovu, our resident "gentle giant" in training! At just six months old, this handsome Cane Corso x Rottweiler pup is already making a big impression with his goofy personality and heart of gold. Affectionately known as a bit of a "boof," Kovu is a total buffoon who hasn’t quite realised how big he’s getting. He is destined to be a massive boy, likely weighing in at over 60kg, so he is looking for a family with experience in raising giant breeds who can appreciate his size and strength as he continues to grow.

Kovu’s absolute favourite thing in the world is being around people. Whether he’s greeting you at the door or following you around the house, he just wants to be part of the action. He is a toy enthusiast and will often be seen proudly parading around with his favourite "pick of the moment" firmly in his mouth. While he has plenty of puppy energy and loves active play, he is remarkably well-behaved for his age and already boasts great on-lead manners. Once he’s successfully worn himself out, Kovu is a master of the "flop," seeking out the coolest spot on the floor for a well-earned nap.

He’s a clever boy who genuinely wants to please, and with consistency he’ll blossom into an incredible adult dog. Because he’s still learning how to navigate the world in his oversized puppy body, he’ll need guidance to build confidence, and understand his own strength. With the right support, Kovu will become not just an impressive dog in size, but an exceptional companion in every way.

Life would be even better for Kovu if he had a furry sibling to look up to. He would thrive in a home with another active, playful dog who can match his energetic play style and help guide him as he matures. Because of his impending size and youthful exuberance, we are looking for a home with children aged 12 and over. However, since he is such a gentle soul, we may consider a home with younger children provided they are dog-savvy and understand how to give a big boy his space when he’s resting.
