About Ilean STK014598
Ilean is a gorgeous young lady with a remarkable story and an even more remarkable spirit.
She came into care with a severely broken back leg that sadly couldn’t be saved, but thanks to the dedication of our veterinary team, Ilean has recovered beautifully and taken everything in her stride. She’s been an absolute trouper through it all and is now ready to start the next chapter of her life in a loving forever home.
Ilean is a shy girl who needs a patient and understanding person willing to give her the time and gentle encouragement she needs to feel safe. In her foster home, she’s shown that while she may be reserved at first, with kindness, reassurance and encouragement she begins to come out of her shell. Once she feels comfortable, she truly blossoms — enjoying affection, the company of her people, and loves the companionship of other friendly felines.
She isn’t a fan of being picked up, but she does enjoy sitting close by and sharing quiet moments with you. Loud noises and busy environments are not her style, so Ilean is looking for a calm, adult-only home where she can feel secure and relaxed.
For her safety, Ilean will need to be kept strictly indoors, where she can continue to thrive without the risks of the outside world.
With a little patience and a lot of love, Ilean will reward her new family with gentle companionship and quiet affection — a truly special girl ready to find someone who will see just how special she is.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
