About Seeker
Meet Seeker đź–¤
1‑year‑old | Male | Kelpie
Seeker is a gentle, thoughtful young Kelpie who is still learning that the world can be a safe place. At first meeting he can be quite nervous, especially around new people or unfamiliar situations, but give him a little time and patience and you'll see his true nature shine through.
Once Seeker warms up, he forms a strong bond and becomes incredibly loyal to his person. He's the kind of dog who will quietly stick by your side, watching the world together and trusting you to guide him. His affection is subtle but very meaningful-earning Seeker's trust is truly special.
Seeker would thrive in a calm, understanding home with adopters who can offer consistency, reassurance, and positive encouragement. He'll do best with people who can read canine body language and are happy to let him progress at his own pace. An environment that isn't too busy or overwhelming will help him build confidence and continue to grow.
As a Kelpie, Seeker is intelligent and eager to learn once he feels safe. With gentle training, routine, and time, he has the potential to blossom into a devoted and steady companion.
If you're looking for a dog who will form a deep, one‑on‑one bond and journey with you as he gains confidence, Seeker may be the perfect match.
Seeker is waiting for someone who will see past his nerves and into his loyal heart. đź’™

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
