About Heket
Meet Heket, a charming and tender-hearted cat who is slowly emerging from his shell. After being rescued off the streets as a scared kitten, Heket has shown great resilience and is beginning to trust humans. His journey to feeling secure is ongoing, but with gentle patience and understanding, he is sure to blossom into a loving companion.
Despite his initial apprehension, Heket is known to melt into a puddle of purrs once he's been gently patted, revealing the affectionate nature hidden beneath his cautious exterior. His foster journey has seen him transition from hissing to gradually seeking the company of others, occasionally even finding comfort sleeping at the foot of the bed. Although sudden movements may cause him to run and hide, Heket is learning that loving pats and tube treats often come from his human friends.
Heket would thrive in a tranquil home with patient adopters who can provide him with the security he craves. He finds joy in the company of other cats or kittens, as they provide an outlet for play and companionship that helps him continue to build confidence. He particularly enjoys lounging in the sunshine, whether near a bright window or in the safety of a catio.
If you have a calm household and are willing to offer Heket the gentle encouragement he needs, you'll be rewarded with a sweet and loyal companion. Giving Heket the time to bloom will allow him to shine, revealing the remarkable cat he is destined to become.

Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
