About George, the greyhound
If you are interested in George, or any of our Greyhounds, we require you to fill in our application form - https://forms.gle/4YdfUixpmWdJ4StT9
George is a friendly, bubbly boy with a playful and active personality who brings a lovely balance of fun and calm into the home. He absolutely loves being around his humans, even if it’s just quietly sharing the same space.
Currently living in a home environment, George has access to a backyard but would also adapt well to apartment living. He manages stairs with ease and settles nicely indoors once his energy is out.
He’s living with another greyhound, an Italian Greyhound, and a cat, and has shown himself to be very respectful of other animals. George particularly enjoys playing with his Italian Greyhound friend, so a home with another playful dog would be a great match, although he would also be happy as a solo dog with plenty of human attention.
George has been wonderful with children aged 7 and up. While he can get a little excitable during playtime, he is not jumpy and is generally very gentle in his interactions.
On lead, George walks nicely and continues to improve with consistency. He has had no toileting accidents, can comfortably hold overnight, and has shown no signs of sleep startle.
He takes regular traffic in his stride and is not fazed by busy environments, making him suitable for a range of living situations.
George is still learning his boundaries, so he would benefit from a home that can offer kind, patient, and consistent guidance. He is a quick learner and responds really well to positive reinforcement, making him a great option for both first-time and experienced dog owners.
One of the absolute highlights of George is watching him play. He lights up with a fluffy toy and brings such joy and personality into the home.
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate companion who also knows how to relax and settle, George might just be your perfect match.
At Homeward Bound Hounds, we pride ourselves on matching the right dog to the right family. We need to know more about you and your home to find the best possible match.
