Flame & Void are a truly special bonded pair looking for a patient, understanding home where they can continue their journey together.
Flame, a stunning 4-year-old ginger boy, and Void, a magnificent 3-year-old black lady, share an unbreakable bond. Having spent time surviving on the streets, they learned to rely on each other for safety and comfort—and that connection remains at the heart of who they are. Because of their past, they are wary of humans and need a home that respects their boundaries and earns their trust at their pace.
Since coming into care, both Flame and Void have made gentle but meaningful progress. They are still works in progress, but with time, patience, and consistency, they will continue to blossom. Their ideal home will be quiet, calm, and predictable, without children or dogs, and with people who understand that trust isn’t rushed—it’s built.
Flame brings a spark of personality to the duo. He’s chirpy, expressive, and very food motivated—winning him over may just start with a tasty treat! When the catnip comes out, Flame comes alive, happily playing alongside Void. He enjoys batting around small balls and chasing chirpy bird toys. Flame has previously had significant dental work, but he’s now doing well and can comfortably eat dry food.
Void, on the other hand, is the quieter soul. Calm, observant, and reserved, she finds comfort in her safe spaces, content to watch the world go by. She takes things at her own pace and will need time to feel secure, but her gentle presence is deeply rewarding for those who understand her.
Together, Flame and Void are looking for someone willing to invest the time and patience to show them that humans can be kind, safe, and loving. In return, you’ll witness a beautiful transformation and share your home with two deeply bonded companions who truly deserve their second chance.

Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
