About Locky
Meet Locky a 6yo Australian Kelpie who is an active, incredibly smart and sweet boy. He was surrendered through no fault of his own and like many rescue pups he has had a bumpy start in life, and is currently working on building his confidence and regaining trust in his humans.
Since coming into foster care, Locky has been thriving with predictable routines, gentle and confident guidance and lots of playtime to decompress. He has become more secure, trusting and friendly, and happily shares his foster home with 2 calm confident dogs and chickens.
Locky is fully house trained, he sleeps peacefully through the night on his bed, and is learning to walk on a lead. In true kelpie style he is a fast learner and his recall is excellent, his ball catching skills are also unsurpassed!
Locky needs a home with room to move, where he can get plenty of exercise and stimulation and a family with the time and patience to continue to help him blossom into a loving and faithful companion. Locky would be best suited to an adults-only home, or with dog-savvy older teenagers, and he would be quite happy being an only dog where he can soak up all the attention he deserves.
Locky is ready to find his forever home so if you have the time, patience and experience to give this lovely dog the second chance he needs, he will be your best friend for life.
