About Rosie
When she first came into care, Rosie was very scared and unsure of people, preferring to keep her distance. Since then, with time, patience and treats, she has made beautiful progress and is truly starting to blossom - she’s come such a long way, and it’s easy to see that in the right home, she’ll become someone’s very best friend.
Rosie isn’t a cuddly or clingy cat, but she does enjoy being near her people and receiving head and back scratches. She’ll happily sit beside you on the couch or join you on the bed, keeping you company in her own low-key way, while purring away. She doesn’t demand attention, making her an easy, low-maintenance companion.
She is currently living with a large dog and a grumpy resident cat and takes both in her stride. While the resident cat isn’t interested in her, she seems very eager to make a feline friend and would likely thrive with a friendly, social cat in her forever home.
Rosie would suit a home that understands that trust takes time. In return, she offers a calm, steady presence and the kind of bond that’s built slowly, but means everything.
Medical notes
Dental Surgery Performed: Rosie had dental disease upon arriving at OOTW. As this condition was negatively impacting her welfare, a dental scale and polish as well as any necessary extractions have been performed under general anaesthesia.
Anxiety Relief: Rosie has been on Clomav to help her adjust and is now weaning off as her confidence grows. She is expected to finish treatment within the next month, under veterinary guidance.
Adoption details
All animals adopted through Out of the Woods Rescue are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea/worm treated and health-checked. We aim to match each animal with a home that suits their needs and personality.
Here’s how our adoption process works:
Submit an application – This helps us get to know you, your household and what you're looking for in a pet.
Phone chat – If your application looks like a potential fit, one of our team members will contact you for a casual phone conversation to answer questions and discuss the animal in more detail.
Meet and greet – You’ll meet the animal in their foster home or another agreed location. If everyone agrees it’s a good match, we can proceed to adoption.
Adoption paperwork and payment – Our adoption fees cover desexing, microchipping, vaccination and parasite treatment.
Once adopted, the animal becomes part of your family. We're still here for post-adoption support if you ever need any help.
We’re committed to ethical adoptions and reserve the right to decline applications if we feel the match isn’t in the best interest of the animal.
