About Lisa
Some cats ask for attention, Lisa softly calls for understanding.
Lisa has a soft voice, and she uses it often. Qquiet, searching little cries that seem to echo everything she's been through. She arrived as a mum, focused only on keeping her babies safe, putting all of herself into them. Now that her job is done, she's been left with the silence, and the uncertainty of what comes next. It's clear she's trying. She allows gentle care, accepts pats in her own cautious way, and has never shown a hint of aggression. But behind it all is a nervous little heart that doesn't quite know how to relax yet.
Lisa's meow says more than she can show. A quiet plea for reassurance, for patience, for someone to understand that she isn't difficult, just unsure. Every day she's improving, inch by inch, learning that maybe hands can be kind and the world doesn't have to feel so overwhelming.
What Lisa needs now is a home that will listen to her, not just her voice but her silences too. A calm, gentle space where she can take her time, where she'll never be rushed or expected to be anything other than who she is right now. Because underneath the nerves and the sadness is a gentle girl who has already given so much, and who just needs someone willing to give her the same quiet love in return.
Lisa is part of our Rescue or Rehome program, where we are committed to finding homes for cats and kittens who simply cannot cope in the shelter environment. If you can open your heart and home to Lisa - or if you're a rescue group able to help - please reach out to us at adoptions@dogshome.com
