About Woody
Woody is a very gentle-natured pup with no signs of aggression toward other dogs, children or strangers. He's friendly, affectionate, and enjoys human interaction, and he does still seek a fair bit of attention and companionship.
Woody eats well (including gently taking food from your hand) and has settled nicely indoors, sleeping inside without any issues.
Woody would really benefit from a home with another dog as he enjoys the companionship. Because he plays quite energetically a medium-to-large dog with a similar playstyle would likely be the best match. He has great wrestles with his retriever foster-brother.
We believe Woody would be suited to a home with children over 7 years provided they were dog savvy and kind and respectful towards animals
Woody must have access inside and out at all times, be permitted to sleep inside of a night.
We believe that Woody is a mix of Beagle, Wolfhound and possibly some other breeds, and will grow to medium-large size dog - it is hard to say. His new family must be committed to ongoing training and socialisation over the coming 12 months using only positive reward-based training methods to ensure that he continues to grow into a well-rounded canine citizen.
Overall, he's a very sweet social pup who would thrive in a home where he has both human interaction and a suitable dog companion. He is good walking with his lead around the yard and house. He has even visited Bunnings in the trolley and was very calm, enjoying pats from passers-by. He has learnt to sit and is still learning some other basic commands.
If you think you have the pawfect home, please email sasrescue@gmail.com and tell us a little about the home you could offer
The more we know about you and the home you can offer, the better we can ensure the perfect match for Woody. 🐾
Medical notes
Will be desexed at an age recommended by the vet team due to Woody being a medium to large breed
