About Milo
Milo is a striking 5 year old red husky with a soft, fluffy coat and an easygoing nature to match. He’s a quiet, chilled-out boy who enjoys the comforts of indoor living and is happiest relaxing on his own cosy bed, especially when it’s close to his people. Milo can be wary of stairs and heights, so he may be best suited to a single-storey home where he feels safe and secure.
Milo has a lovely foundation of manners—he knows commands like sit, stay, drop, and paw, and he’ll patiently wait for his meals like a true gentleman. He doesn’t struggle with separation anxiety; while he may have a quick whinge when you leave, he settles quickly and snoozes until you return.
He’s best suited to a calm, structured home with experience in Arctic breeds. Milo has been very loved (and a little spoiled), so he’ll thrive with clear boundaries and consistent guidance to help him feel secure and balanced. He would do best as the only dog but could benefit from learning alongside a calm, well-balanced female companion. Busy dog parks and high-energy environments aren’t his style—he prefers a slower pace and gradual socialisation.
Milo can be protective over high-value toys or treats, so ongoing training and thoughtful management will help him continue to build confidence and trust. Enrichment activities like puzzle toys and mental games will be key to keeping his clever husky mind engaged and fulfilled.
This beautiful boy is ready for a committed home that will give him the structure, patience, and guidance he needs to truly shine. With the right person or family, Milo will be a loyal, gentle companion in the prime of his life.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
