Meet Sunnyboy ☀️🐾

Sunnyboy is a gorgeous Border Collie x Bull Arab mix with legs for days and a delightfully “noodley” charm. This medium-sized girl has come a long way from a rough start to life—arriving into care at just six months old with some catching up to do, and absolutely rising to the challenge. Today, she’s full of life, personality, and resilience, with a lovely balance of energy, affection, and just a hint of sass.

She’s clearly inherited those classic Border Collie traits—Sunnyboy loves to play, round up her crew, and chase after a ball. Fetch is a favourite pastime, and she’ll happily keep the game going as long as you’re willing! She can occasionally be a bit possessive over toys, but it’s manageable and something she’s continuing to improve with guidance.

Ideal Home 🏡
Sunnyboy would love a home with a bit of space where she can stretch those long legs and enjoy her active lifestyle. She thrives on being included in everyday life—whether that’s outings, adventures, or just hanging out with her people. Being close to her humans helps her feel secure and confident.

A home with some working breed experience would be ideal, as she does have those intelligent, energetic Border Collie tendencies. If her new family is around most of the time (such as working from home), apartment living could be considered, provided her exercise and enrichment needs are met.

Sunnyboy is still learning, so she’ll need a family committed to ongoing training and guidance to help her continue blossoming into a well-rounded companion—and a shining example of what rescue dogs can become.

Energy Level 🌿
Fairly high. Sunnyboy loves to run, play, and stay active, but she also has a great off-switch and knows how to relax when it’s time to wind down—preferably with some snuggles on the side.

Suitability with Children 👨‍👩‍👧
Sunny hasn’t had extensive exposure to children, but she is a gentle-natured girl. She would likely do well with dog-savvy kids who understand her boundaries and can interact with her respectfully.

Suitability with Dogs & Cats 🐶🐱
Sunnyboy is dog-friendly and enjoys playing chase with her canine companions. On leash, she can sometimes get a bit overexcited, which may come across as reactivity, but she is actively improving with training. She tends to do best with medium-sized dogs and could happily live with either an energetic playmate or a more relaxed companion.

She hasn’t been formally tested with cats, but with slow introductions, proper management, and patience, a cat-friendly home may be possible.

Sunnyboy is expected to stay around her current size unless she has a major unexpected growth spurt, making her a great medium-sized companion with an athletic build and plenty of personality.
