About Solaris
Meet Solaris ☀️
Solaris is an exuberant, intelligent, and deeply loving girl who has more than earned the title of supermum. She arrived into foster care with her 10 puppies and devoted herself completely to raising them. Now that every one of her babies has found their forever homes, it is finally Solaris’s turn.
Solaris is full of life and personality. She absolutely adores her people, loves being involved in family life, and forms very strong bonds with those she trusts. She is fantastic with children, enjoys playing with other dogs, and has a playful, affectionate nature that shines once she feels safe and secure.
She would thrive with an active family who enjoys outdoor adventures, training, enrichment, and including their dog in daily life. Solaris is incredibly loyal and eager to please, but she is not a dog for a first time or passive owner.
Solaris needs a confident, consistent handler who can provide calm leadership, firm boundaries, and ongoing structure. She is a strong girl, both physically and mentally, and while she has made huge progress in foster care, she still requires continued training and guidance to help her feel secure and make good choices.
Her foster carer and trainer have worked incredibly hard with her and know her inside and out. They will happily spend time with her future family showing them her strengths, routines, triggers, and the areas where she still needs support so she can continue succeeding in the right home.
Solaris is not suitable for a home with cats.
What she needs most is someone willing to truly commit to her. Someone patient, experienced, and understanding who sees the amazing dog underneath the hard start she has had. In return, Solaris will give you unwavering loyalty, endless affection, and a bond that is incredibly special.
After raising 10 puppies and giving everything she had to them, we think it is finally time someone gives Solaris the same love back. ❤️

Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed

The site is ran by volunteers who also have work commitments and families of their own.
