About Barkley
Meet Barkley, a gentle soul with a charming demeanour and the potential to be an amazing addition to a loving home. This well-mannered boy has a soft spot for mealtime and will always be ready to find his set place for breakfast or dinner. He's a foodie who knows when it's time to eat, and he patiently waits his turn for his little treats with impeccable manners.
Dog-lovers will appreciate Barkley's natural instinct to get along with his fellow canine companions. He adapted effortlessly to living with other dogs and thrives in a social environment, making him perfect for a household with a furry playmate. While initially a bit timid around humans and not partial to sudden movements or loud noises, he does best with older children who understand his gentle temperament.
Despite being shy with adults, Barkley has shown that he can settle down quickly, given enough time and patience to build trust. Though he may initially resist pats and cuddles, his affectionate side will surely bloom with the right love and care. He sleeps soundly in his own bed, either in the lounge or the bedroom, and enjoys a playful romp on the bed with his doggy friends.
Barkley is an adventure enthusiast at heart, especially when it comes to exploring the garden or enjoying the scenery from the open front door while bird-watching. However, he does have a bit of an escape artist streak and needs a secure lead during walks, as he may get spooked and try to back out of it. So, keeping an eye on him around open gates is essential.
For a family with a playful existing dog or one looking to expand their "tribe," Barkley is the perfect choice. This lovely boy is ready to fill your home with love and gentle companionship.
