💔 Meet Dot - she only has 3 legs… but she has 4 times the love to give. 💔
When this beautiful little girl lost one of her front legs, it could have changed her life forever.
Instead… she decided it simply wasn’t going to slow her down.
She runs, she plays, she climbs, she zooms around the house and she launches herself onto the couch or bed for cuddles without a second thought. If nobody told you she only had three legs, you’d almost forget.
What you definitely won’t forget is her purr. It rumbles like a tiny diesel engine the second you give her attention. She’s an absolute moocher who believes every lap was made especially for her.
She adores other cats, is fantastic with dogs of all sizes and would fit beautifully into a home where she can be included as part of the family.
Like any special girl, she just has a few extra needs. Her claws should be kept trimmed so her remaining front leg doesn’t catch and throw her off balance and as she grows, it’s important she stays at a healthy weight and enjoys a high-quality diet to protect her three hardworking limbs.

No special treatment.
Just love, good food and someone willing to see past the missing leg to the incredible little soul underneath.

Medical notes
Peridot has had a front leg amputated following a previous injury and has adapted very well to life on three legs.
To help keep her comfortable and healthy long term, she will require lifelong weight management. Maintaining a lean body condition is essential to reduce stress on her remaining limbs and joints.
She will also benefit from ongoing herbal supplements to support her joints and mobility. These include:
- Green Lipped Mussel
- Glucosamine
- MSM
- 4 Cyte
- Fish oil
Keeping her at a healthy weight, feeding a balanced diet, and providing regular low impact exercise will help ensure she continues to live a happy, active, and comfortable life.
Adoption details
*Please only apply if you reside 4hrs from Shepparton
* You will have a list of questions sent that you need to answer and send back.
* (For dog applications) Photos are requested of your yard, the fencing and any undercover shelter areas (patio/pergola) that must be sent through along with answers to questions.
* It’s not first in best dressed and we pride ourselves in finding the perfect family home for the animals in our care and make sure each family finds the perfect animal as well.
* We feed our cats on Lifewise, bags are available to buy from us.
* We also offer a 2 week trial on all animals that are adopted from this rescue organisation, if returned during this time a refund less 10% is given.
* Meet and greets are always taken prior to adoption, on the day if all goes well and you are happy, you can adopt on the spot and take your animal home to begin the next chapter together. We don't offer more than 1 meet and greet.
*All animals listed on our petrescue page are available for adoption until the moment they are removed
